Job summary

Wellpath in Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts at the Davis County Jail to deliver patient care using the nursing process and under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. You will educate patients and support clinical activities per competency and education.

Required: RN licensure in the state, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of clinic experience. Competitive hourly compensation and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and maintain RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan individual patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic tests or procedures.
• Count controlled substances per policy and document nursing encounters.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and supervisors as needed.

How you make a difference

As a Registered Nurse(RN), your primary responsibilityis toprovidepatient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning,implementation,and evaluation.You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education.This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensureoptimalpatient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistin assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and otherstaffas necessary.
• Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, andassistingwith medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of carein accordance withestablished policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or otherstaffas necessary.

Additional Details

PRN requirements 4+ shifts per month, including 1 weekend, and 1 major, and 1 minor holiday throughout the year. Additional 10% based on YOE.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience

Licenses/Certifications

• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
