Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC, is seeking a registered nurse to join our postpartum/acute care team. You will provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with our policies, and support the healthcare team while upholding patient-centered care and service excellence.

Must have RN license, ACLS/PALS/NRP or willing to obtain, BLS, and ideally 1 year postpartum experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP (or obtained within three months of employment) in required specialty.
• BLS.
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time of experience in postpartum in an acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
