Job summary

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, in Torrington, CT, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the PACU/CCU. You will apply the nursing process to address age-specific needs and support families.

You will follow department policies and collaborate with caregivers while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in field of Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year PACU or Critical Care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Registered Nurses utilize the nursing process to provide direct and indirect patient care based on area(s) assigned, addressing age appropriate needs.
• Follows nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop education and care plans for each patient and provide support for family members.
• Utilizes judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff.
• Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining patient confidentiality and age-appropriate comfort and privacy.

Incumbents of this position will annually complete the attached competency requirements specific to their area(s) of responsibility.
