Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in Metairie, LA. You will work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to provide safe, exceptional care before, during, and after surgery.

The role involves patient preparation, vitals monitoring, medication administration, positioning support, and post-operative assessments, with opportunities for self-scheduling and exposure to new technology within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and care for patients throughout the surgical experience.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with positioning, and perform assessments.
• Complete clinical documentation and post-operative assessments.
• Monitor for pain, complications, infection, and healing.
• Educate and support patients and families.
