Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMC). The position is full-time, nights from 7p to 7a, with a 35.1-hour workweek and benefits eligibility.

Requires RN license, accredited nursing program, BLS certification, and 1+ year RN experience; pediatric/IMC experience preferred. The unit cares for children requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions, bridging acute and intensive

Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMC)

Where You Will Work

Our Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit has 7 IMC beds and 8 acute care/IMC overflow beds. This unit provides evidence-based, family-centered care for children who require close monitoring and specialized interventions but do not need intensive care. With a focus on bridging the gap between acute care and critical care, our nurses manage patients with complex medical needs, including those recovering from critical illness or requiring advanced respiratory support. We are committed to delivering exceptional care in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, continuous quality improvement, and inclusivity—where every team member belongs and every family feels supported.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
