Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for Hospital Inpatient/ED care coordination, based in Peoria, IL. You will collaborate with providers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver 24/7 inpatient care, and you will work five out of six weekends.

The role requires active RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan, current BLS, and a BSN is preferred. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois or Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support certification required prior to start date of employment.
  • Preferred BSN; healthcare experience; EMR and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care coordination across the continuum with the care team.
  • Assess physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients and families.
  • Mentor team members; promote best practices and maintain professional disposition.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.


This position includes a weekend premium of 20%.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure, collaborating with Providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. Will be scheduled and required to work 5 out of every 6 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)

  • Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Education: BSN

  • Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment

  • Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
