Job Description
- Competency in the care of the unit’s specific patient population; independently practice with solid knowledge and clinical skills; engage in advancing own practice.
- Serve as a clinical resource for others.
- Apply and integrate evidence into practice.
- Function effectively in roles specific to the unit, such as arrest team for ICU, triage for ED, etc.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care; independently advocate for patient/family needs.
- Model practice consistent with unit operations to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient‑centered care.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligibility to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing.
- More than 12 months of nursing experience; solid knowledge and clinical skills.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Must meet all unit‑specific certification requirements: PALS, ACLS, NRP.
