Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, FL is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Recovery Room (PACU) team. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery, using strong clinical judgment and excellent communication in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required qualifications include Florida RN license, ASN/BSN, BLS and ACLS. Prior PACU/ICU experience and EHR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.

• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure infection control and patient safety standards.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Recovery Room (PACU) team. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (American Heart Association).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of recent PACU, Critical Care, ICU, ER, or Surgical Services experience preferred.
• Certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., Critical Care, Psychiatry).
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
