Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU for a per diem role at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The RN will receive patients from the Operating Room, monitor vital signs, and provide timely interventions within the nursing scope.

They may assist with patient transport and IV sedation monitoring in the OR. Requirements include a current CA RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with at least one year of Critical Care or PACU

Qualifications

• Current CA Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certificates required.
• One year Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments.
• Monitors vital signs and performs prescribed interventions within nursing scope.
• Assists with transport to outpatient surgery or surgical floors and monitors IV sedation when indicated.
• Provides competent care for patients across the lifespan, from infancy to geriatric.

Registered Nurse (RN) PACU

Per Diem position located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services the Recovery Room Registered Nurse receives patient from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments. Monitors vital signs making necessary interventions as prescribed, within scope of nursing, by surgeon or anesthesiologist. May also assist in transport of patients to outpatient Surgery and surgical floors. Assists with monitor of IV sedation and localcases in the Operating Room. Able to provide competent care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through geriatric.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 259-bed community hospital network comprised of an acute care hospital and a rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• One year Critical Care or PACU experience or basic Coronary Care Class with hemodynamic experience required.
• Age specific education and/or experience.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Current CA Registered Nurse license required.
• Current BLS (CPR), A.C.L.S and P.A.L.S. Certificate required.
