Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Float RN to provide comprehensive nursing care across Infusion Clinic, Clinical Laboratory, and OTC Clinic. You will help coordinate care, implement plans, and mentor staff while supporting patient and family needs.

The role requires an active RN license (BLS), with at least one year of acute‑care experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM with holidays/weekends rotation.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim/compact).
• BLS certification required.
• One year of acute‑care RN experience within the past 12 months.
• Maintenance of clinical performance competencies through annual validations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs; review history, labs, and other team data; report abnormal results.
• Formulate and initiate individualized plan of care, including discharge planning, goals, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement the plan through direct care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of staff; communicate status accurately to all caregivers.
• Evaluate patient progress and teaching effectiveness; revise plan of care as needed.
• Document assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legibility, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Apply best evidence; participate in research, shared leadership, and education of staff, patients, and visitors; mentor when appropriate.
• Contribute to patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional organizations.
• Supervise staff workflow where applicable.
• Interact with all staff levels, external contacts, clergy for spiritual support, and synthesize data to support patient and family response.

Position Summary

Schedule

Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:30 PM (four ten‑hour shifts per week). Holiday and weekend rotation required.

• For Home Health roles: valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• For behavioral health positions: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Criminal History Affidavit as required for the location.
