Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System, based in Georgia, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ortho/Neuro unit. This 26-bed unit handles orthopedic surgeries, neurosurgery, and trauma care with a strong focus on patient and family support.

The RN will apply the nursing process, lead the care team, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds while delivering evidence-based, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate degree, ADN or Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead care team on the Ortho/Neuro unit and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Apply the nursing process to meet clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

As an Orthopedic Neurosurgery unit, care is rendered to a variety of patients including but not limited to:Elective orthopedic joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder)Neurosurgical surgeries (neck, back, brain)Orthopedic trauma in times of high censusMedical overflow in times of high census Patients receive physical, emotional, spiritual and psychosocial support for themselves and their families.
