Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a registered nurse for the 11LP Digestive Health Unit. The unit provides pre- and post-procedure care within a 30-bed setting, supporting a soon-to-expand transplant program and AI-enhanced diagnostics.

The role includes caring for patients undergoing procedures like POEM, ERCP and EUS, with three shifts per week and a day shift from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm. You will work with a dedicated team pursuing advanced clinical research protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on the 11LP Digestive Health Unit before and after procedures.
• Assist with procedures such as POEM, ERCP and EUS as applicable.
• Collaborate with the Digestive Health Institute team for coordinated care.
• Participate in training related to the evolving transplant program.

Education

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license

The 11LP Digestive Health Unit is a 30-bed unit dedicated to caring for patients before and after their procedure at the Digestive Health Institute. Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute is an international destination for care, offering comprehensive and coordinated services to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting the digestive tract and gastrointestinal organs. The institute has distinguished itself worldwide in offering many diagnostic and treatment options, including artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities that improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.

This is one small step in our journey towards establishing a solid organ transplant program. The newly dedicated unit will enable us to provide specialized training to a core team of nurses and staff to meet the specific needs of patients who travel 500 miles to see us and are admitted with complex digestive health problems and be familiar with cutting-edge clinical research protocols.

Common Procedures you will see on this unit:

• Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM)
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
