Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Clinic is looking for a dedicated nurse to deliver high-quality patient care on a day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves administering treatments, coordinating care, and supporting the provider during procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain patient flow, and educate patients on health maintenance. Minnesota RN license is required; LPN license may be considered for related roles, with benefits

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota RN license at hire.
• Active nursing license required; LPN considered for related roles.
• Ability to work day/evening shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience.

$22.50 - $41.25

Position Highlights

Work Schedule

• Day shift
• 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; 56 hours/pay period (2 weeks)
• One Saturday rotation (approximately every 13th Saturday) from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• LPN Pay: $22.50-31.50
• RN Pay: $27.75-41.25

A Brief Overview

Provides for the delivery of professional nursing care under the direction of the provider.

What You Will Do

• Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
• Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination. Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, and taking vitals. Documents obtained information in patient chart. Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests.
• Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
• Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
• Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
• Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.
