Requirements: graduate from an accredited nursing program, CT RN license, surgical or labor/delivery experience (C-sections), and CPR certification at hire. Full-time, day shift, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Previous surgical or labor and delivery experience, specifically assisting with C-sections.
• CPR certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Follow the five medication rights to reduce potential medication errors.
• Ensure patient safety and positive outcomes by adhering to policies for patient identification and surgical procedures.
• Document nursing processes and responses to care in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate flexibility and organization in stressful situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills in priority setting and delegation.
• Serve as a professional role model and mentor for personal and professional growth.
• Prepare surgical rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures.
