About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the OR CORE at Hartford HealthCare is responsible for providing individualized patient care in the Operating Room, functioning as both a Circulator and Scrub Nurse. This role is ideal for nurses who are dedicated to delivering high-quality care across various surgical specialties.

What You’ll Do

• Organize and administer individualized patient care in the Operating Room.
• Function as Circulator/Scrub Nurse during surgical procedures.
• Participate in patient teaching and incorporate age/cultural needs into care.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.
• Provide care across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, ENT, and trauma.
• Ensure 24/7 operating room coverage with alternative scheduling options.
• Participate in innovation and continued learning with new equipment and procedures.

Requirements

Education:

• BSN preferred

Experience:

• Previous OR experience required

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current active CT RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• CNOR certification preferred
