Responsibilities

The Surgical RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients before, during and after surgery to include:

• Create and maintain a sterile and safe environment.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative instruction.
• Monitor the physiological and psychological status of the patient.
• Coordinate patient care.
• Act as a patient advocate.
• Full time days Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with call.

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. Must have a minimum of one year of operating room or critical care experience. May also float to outpatient surgery. Must hold BLS and ACLS certification.
