Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, part of RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking an Operating Room RN for full-time evening shifts. The role requires active NJ RN license, BLS, and ASN with BSN preferred. You will work 37.5 hours weekly, with on-call and holiday rotations, in a busy OR environment.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and current BLS required.
Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) such as EPIC.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for next steps of care.
Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and collaborative care transitions.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification required. An Associate Science in Nursing degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 1 year hospital experience is highly preferred. Must be comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Full-Time Evening 11a-11:30p shift 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday, every other weekend, Weekend and weekday On-call required and holiday rotation you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
