Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room to provide high-quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including assessment, documentation, medication administration, IV therapy, and interpretation of diagnostic data.

The role requires a valid multi-state RN license, BLS CPR within 7 days of hire, ACLS within orientation, and a willingness to collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid multi-state RN license or equivalent.
• BLS CPR certification within 7 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain high-quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including patient assessment, documentation, medication administration, IV therapy, and interpreting diagnostic data.
• Ensure accurate verification of orders, adherence to medication policies, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care and ensure patient safety.
• Assess patients continuously, utilizing physician and psychosocial input.
• Perform proficient patient interventions with age-specific competency.
• Verify orders, schedule tests, and manage pre-op data and consent forms.
• Follow medication and IV therapy protocols, monitor first doses, and report interactions or adverse effects.
• Interpret diagnostic data and act accordingly, including notifying physicians of critical results.
• Perform related duties as needed.
