Job summary

Advocate Health in Green Bay, WI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safety and quality aligned with standards before, during, and after procedures.

You will join a team of nurses and surgical techs, support a range of surgical specialties, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient experiences in a high-volume OR.

Qualifications

• Complete an accredited nursing program and obtain RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with strong teamwork.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Where You Will Work:

The Operating Room provides services to a variety of patient populations from neonates to geriatric, ambulatory to ICU status. We have a total of 19 OR rooms in different sections of the hospital.

Our unit is staffed with registered nurses and surgical techs, but we also work very closely with OR EVS and anesthesia techs. We work as a team with ABMC physicians who represent a vast array of specialties as part of a collaborative effort to provide the best possible care to our patients.

We support a broad range of surgical and procedural specialties, including:

• Neurological
• ENT
• Plastics
• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• Ophthalmology
• Robotics
• Urology
• Cardiothoracic

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
