Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Oncology Unit. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a medical-surgical setting. We value teamwork and patient-centered care from a phenomenal nursing staff.

The role emphasizes assessment, patient education on medications, documentation, and safe medication administration. Florida RN licensure, BLS, and acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or hold a compact license with FL RN active within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and follow instructions; proficient PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med Surg Oncology patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
