Mercy South is seeking an Outpatient RN in Oncology & Hematology to join the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy outpatient setting, coordinating care with physicians and the care team.

You will assess patients, prepare them for exams and treatments, and support education and follow-up, contributing to a collaborative cancer care journey.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous experience is not required.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Respond to patient questions, phone calls, test results, and follow-up needs.

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
• Maintain proper medication handling and safety practices.
• Support infection prevention and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations within the clinic.

Overview

Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Mon-Fri | Day Shift | 8:00am-4:30pm

Sindelar Cancer Center, you'll work alongside physicians and a collaborative care team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You'll support patients through assessments, treatments, education, follow-up, and care coordination while developing your skills within a specialized area of nursing. What You’ll Do

As an Outpatient Specialty RN, you will:

• Room patients, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
