Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus in El Paso seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care on Days shift. This full-time role supports a compassionate team, emphasizes professional growth, and a strong benefits package.

Requires state-approved nursing program completion; RN license; preferred BSN/MSN; CPR and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP per policy. Experience in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must graduate from a state-approved nursing program or accredited school.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • CPR and AHA BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to patients using established protocols.
  • Coordinate patient care and discharge planning with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications according to hospital policy and safety standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and adhere to infection control practices.

Responsibilities

The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.

Qualifications
Education

Required: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.

Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing

Experience

Preferred: Recent acute care experience.

Certifications

Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
