Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Inpatient/ED to provide high-level care coordination, collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams, and promote health and wellness across the continuum in a 24/7 hospital setting.

Required qualifications include an active RN license (Illinois or Michigan), current BLS, and a BSN preferred; experience in a healthcare environment; EMR and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and basic Microsoft Office usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination and patient-centered care across the continuum.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain professional disposition in a 24/7 hospital setting.
• Mentor and support assigned team members.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

OSF will invest in you day 1! External candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive a bonus of 24 hours of Vacation/Holiday time frontloaded on day 1. This is in addition to our generous Paid Time Off plans!

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)

Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS.

Education: BSN

Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment

Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
