Requirements include an accredited nursing program, current RN license in the state, BLS certification, and 1+ year of RN experience. A strong commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Department: 35405 High Point Medical Center - Nursing: Short Stay Observation Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3 12 hour shifts weekly 7pm-7:30am Weekend rotation Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: The Observation Unit is a 12-bed general medical-surgical unit that handles acute patients with expected stays less than 36 hours. Upon completion of 6 months in the Observation Unit, you will be crossed-trained for the Clinical Decision Unit, which is a 12-bed extension of the Emergency Department. The Clinical Decision Unit handles patients that are requiring extended Emergency Department stays; however, they are expected to be discharged within 24 hours. The Clinical Decision Unit is a protocol driven unit.

We’re Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year of RN experience: Please apply to postings that have "New Graduate RN" in the title.)

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
