Advocate Health's High Point Medical Center Observation Unit is a 12-bed general medical‑surgical unit focused on short stays. This full‑time RN role requires a nursing program graduate, an active RN license, BLS, and over one year of RN experience.

You will provide coordinated patient care and support protocols for rapid turnover. Shifts run 7:00 am–7:30 pm, totaling 36 hours per week across three 12‑hour shifts, with four weekend shifts in a six‑week period.

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience.

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work

The Observation Unit is a 12-bed general medical-surgical unit that handles acute patients with expected stays less than 36 hours. Upon completion of 6 months in the Observation Unit, you will be cross‑trained for the Clinical Decision Unit, which is a 12-bed extension of the Emergency Department. The Clinical Decision Unit handles patients that are requiring extended Emergency Department stays; however, they are expected to be discharged within 24 hours. The Clinical Decision Unit is a protocol driven unit.

We're Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
