Job summary

HSHS is seeking Fall/Winter 2026 graduate nurses for Nurse Extern II transitioning into RN after licensure at St. Nicholas, Sheboygan, WI. Schedule includes full-time and part-time night opportunities with sign-on up to $10,000 and compensation aligned to experience.

This role requires RN licensure in the state of practice (BSN preferred) and may require Wisconsin multistate license per NLC rules; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Begin as Nurse Extern II during the last semester and transition into RN after licensure.
• Provide nursing care under supervision for patients at St. Nicholas in Sheboygan.
• Support orientation and onboarding of new graduates transitioning to RN.

Pay Range: $36.50 - $55.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Position Specifics:

• Sign On: Up to $10,000 in most areas
• Compensation that aligns with your experience

Education Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
