Job summary

Tidelands Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift duties in our facility. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality nursing care.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or BSN, with preference for a Master's, and must be licensed in SC. EMR proficiency, strong communication, and patient education skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • ADN or BSN required; CCNE/NLNAC accreditation preferred for higher degrees.
  • Master's in Nursing preferred.
  • Active RN licensure in South Carolina or pending licensure with ability to obtain licensure.
  • Experience in acute care setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EMR) for patient care coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts individualized patient assessments and prioritizes data collection.
  • Administers medications and treatments accurately and timely as ordered.
  • Documents patient condition and responses to interventions.
  • Initiates emergency resuscitative measures per ACLS protocols.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and provides culturally competent care.
  • Observes and communicates patient symptoms to physicians and care team.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Ensures patient and family education tailored to needs.

Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.Performs appropriate treatments and administrations of medication, immediate and ongoing, as ordered by provider in an accurate and timely manner.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and delivery of care with appropriate age and cultural competence as established by individualized needs/plan of care for the patient and their family.Provides individualized patient/family education customized to the patient and his/her family.Documents patient condition, assessment findings, and physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.Maintains confidentiality as well as providing care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to providers and other staff during shift change.Education QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
