Eastern Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse Night Supervisor to lead clinical and administrative nursing functions on the night shift in a skilled nursing setting. You will ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and smooth care coordination.
Responsibilities include supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, maintaining EHR documentation, handling emergencies, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
The Nursing Supervisor oversees the clinical and administrative functions of nursing staff during assigned shifts in a nursing home setting. This role ensures high-quality care for residents, adherence to regulatory standards, and efficient coordination of resident services. The Nursing Supervisor acts as a leader, mentor, and resource for nurses, CNAs, and other care team members.
Monitor the delivery of nursing care to ensure it meets standards of quality, safety, and resident dignity.
Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and address concerns promptly.
Coordinate and supervise implementation of resident care plans.
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care and documentation.
Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) during assigned shifts.
Provide guidance, direction, and clinical support as needed.
Participate in staff evaluations, corrective actions, and ongoing development.
Ensure proper shift hand-offs, documentation, and communication between teams.
Ensure all care practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHRs).
Assist in preparing for inspections, audits, and surveys (e.g., from CMS, state health department).
Monitor medication administration and ensure adherence to physician orders.
Assist with or perform complex treatments as needed.
Investigate and report medication errors or adverse events per policy.
Act as a liaison between staff, residents, families, physicians, and external providers.
Address resident or family concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (social workers, rehab, dietary, etc.) to coordinate holistic care.
