Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced RN for weekend coverage in a NICU setting. The role performs nursing processes, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and delivers age-appropriate patient-family‑centered care.

Qualified candidates have 12 months RN experience; Level 4 NICU experience is highly preferred and BSN is preferred. The role requires Epic experience and supports a weekend schedule with one additional weekday, typically 7AM-7PM.

Job Description

Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team.

This role will be working every Saturday and Sunday along with 1 other weekday. Hours will be 7AM-7PM.

Experience

• 12 months RN experience required; Level 4 NICU experience highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• 3 years RN experience in Level 4 NICU experience highly preferred
• Level 3 NICU experience considered

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing

Certification Summary

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or upon start of clinical shift if working in the Emergency Department (ED)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification from the American Heart Association within 1 year of employment as required by department
