Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse in the NICU to provide safe, high-quality patient care and to collaborate with the care team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS (or BCLS) certification, NRP, and at least 1 year of NICU experience. BSN is preferred, and the hospital offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (diploma, ADN, or BSN) with active Texas license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Texas license via Multi-State Compact.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• NRP certification.
• 1 year RN NICU experience (L2/L3).

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in your role:

• You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team.
• You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP)
• 1-year RN NICU L2/L3 experience
