Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU at Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC. This PRN position offers day or night shifts as needed within the NICU department, requiring at least 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU experience.

You will lead and collaborate with a healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, guided by evidence-based practice and compassion. An RN license in good standing is required, with BLS certification as well.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
• Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We\'re Looking For

• Education:


• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.


• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.


• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
