Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is seeking a registered nurse to lead resident care in a Minnesota facility. The RN will assess health status, develop care plans, supervise CNAs and nursing staff, and ensure adherence to BON standards and QAPI programs.

You will maintain medical records, administer care, identify safety issues, and apply evidence-based practices to achieve the highest practicable well-being for residents. Minnesota license required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Minnesota Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent credential.
• Current Minnesota RN registration and CPR certification.
• CGFNS certificate or full unrestricted nursing license in Minnesota.

RN- Registered Nurse

Description

The RN manages and supervises resident care ensuring the highest quality of care is received in accordance with the Minnesota BON standards, is guided by the Residents' Bill of Rights and abides by the facility Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Through the collection and analysis of data, the RN is accountable for performing a comprehensive assessment to establish the baseline health status of residents as well as to create a detailed Plan of Care that includes individual needs and preferences. RNs oversee practical nurses, CNAs and nursing personnel through assessment of their knowledge, skill and capabilities; clarifying expectations and addressing behaviors to ensure the safety of residents and to attain the ultimate goal of achieving and maintaining the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems, and integrate evidence, and best practice into nursing care. Use data and evidence to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent foreign degree
• Current Minnesota Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care
• Also requires CGFNS certificate (or equivalent credentialing organization), or full unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in Minnesota, or passage of the NCELX-RN exam.

Preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living facilities
