Job summary

Advocate Health's 6 South Neuro-Telemetry unit at High Point Medical Center seeks a compassionate RN to deliver high-quality care to adult patients with higher-acuity medical needs. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts weekly with every 3rd weekend rotation, joining a collaborative team across RN, LPN, and NA staff.

Candidates must have an accredited nursing program, state RN license, and BLS certification. Prior RN experience is preferred to support neuro and telemetry patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As an RN, provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision making, ensuring patient safety and quality experiences across the continuum.

Pay Range:

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work:

The 6 South Neuro-Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center a 36-bed Progressive Care/Step-Down unit caring for adult patients with higher-acuity medical needs. The unit specializes in neurological conditions-including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and other acute neurologic disorders-as well as caring for patients requiring close cardiac or respiratory monitoring, complex chronic disease management, and ICU step-down support. Staffed by a collaborative team of RNs, LPNs, and NAs who work closely with one another to provide high quality care. 6 South offers broad exposure to diverse medical and neurological conditions, providing an excellent environment to build and strengthen core progressive-care nursing skills.

We're Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Greater than 1 year of RN experienced preferred (RNs with less than 1 year of experience - Please apply to postings that include 'New Graduate RN' in the title.)

What You'll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
