Hartford Hospital is seeking a highly skilled RN for the Neuro-Surgical ICU, providing bedside care for critically ill patients with stroke, trauma, and brain hemorrhage. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and excellent outcomes, following Hartford HealthCare values of Safety, Excellence, Integrity and Caring.

Requirements include a Connecticut RN license, BSN, BLS/ACLS and Arrhythmia Certification prior to hire; minimum one year acute care RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN required.
• BLS, ACLS, and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire.
• Minimum one year Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• In exceptional circumstances, ASN/ADN nurses in pursuit of a BSN or MSN may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with neuro-intensivist, PA/APRN teams to deliver high-quality care.

The Neuro-Surgical ICU is a 17 bed adult inpatient unit caring for critically ill Neuro-science and Neuro-surgical patients. Our patient population consists of stroke, head and spinal cord trauma and brain hemorrhage. These patients require nurses who specialize in monitoring intracranial pressures, brain tissue oxygenation and hemo-dynamic monitoring. RN’s in this specialty also must have a family-centered approach because of the critical nature of our patients. We also work closely with our Neuro-intensivist, Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to provide the highest quality of care for our patients.

• In exceptional circumstances, experienced ASN/ADN nurses currently in pursuit of a BSN or MSN may be considered.
