Banner Baywood Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Neuro Progressive Care Unit. The unit is a 74-bed, stroke-focused area that requires teamwork across nursing and multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
The RN will work 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, with weekend rotations and a $3/hour weekend differential. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible RNs with a 1-year commitment.

Banner Baywood Medical Center has served the growing East Valley for more than 30 years, and every day we work hard to provide the best care to our patients. The Banner Baywood Neuro Progressive Care Unit is nationally certified as a Primary Stroke Unit by the Joint Commission. Our team is highly skilled in caring for patients suffering from strokes and related illnesses. Our RN managers are trained stroke responders who respond to stroke alerts throughout the campus. Our program is led by a physician medical director and a nurse coordinator along with a multidisciplinary team who are all instrumental in providing exceptional care to our patients and a collaborative environment for our RNs.
The Neuro Progressive Care Unit is a three-wing, 74-bed unit that provides acute care for all stroke and neuro patients as well as cardiac, medical, and post-surgical patients. This Neuro Stroke specialty unit is a great fit for RNs who love to learn and would like to expand their RN skills across many areas. Our Neuro unit offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team that is committed to providing an excellent work environment for our nurses. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
