Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient care on the PCU Multisystem unit. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while ensuring teamwork with the medical staff.

Requires RN license, Associate's degree (BSN preferred), BLS/ACLS, and 1+ year acute care experience. Night shift is 7pm–7am with rotating weekends/holidays. Pay range included and background screening required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred
• Night shift availability and ability to work nights in a hospital unit

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, and social factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and monitor progress
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care

Unit Highlights

• PCU Multisystem (MSU) provides inpatient medical care to individuals needing evaluation and medical stabilization prior to moving to a Behavioral Health unit. We are a unique team that focuses on the complex needs of both medical and psychiatric component of our patients while providing the best care.

Schedule

Nights, 36 hours per week

Shift

7pm-7am, rotating weekends and holidays

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
