AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time telemetry unit. The role supports a 45-bed unit with a nurse/patient ratio of 5-6, providing comprehensive care to medically complex patients.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while coordinating with the care team and maintaining precise documentation.

Qualifications

• ASN in Nursing or equivalent required.
• Current Florida RN license or multi-state license.
• BLS certification required; six months RN experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs including physiological, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care activities in the medical record.

Unit Highlights:

• We are a 45 private bed Adult Medical Telemetry unit caring for patients with complex medical needs requiring cardiac monitoring

• We are currently at a 5-6 nurse/patient ratio with both RN's and LPN'S and have support staff of PCTs and Nurse Techs.

Schedule:

Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts

Shift:

Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of six (6) months prior Registered Nurse experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

$31.85 - $52.76
