Supervision

The Registered Nurse directs and delegates all patient care activities on nursing units.

Physical Demands

Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination, able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. Requires close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision to assess patients, prepare and analyze data, view a computer terminal, and perform extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact and exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
