Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) on a 36-hour schedule. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient and family education, and coordination with the medical team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Candidates must hold an active RN license in Florida, with BLS certification; ACNS/CCNS or pediatric/neonatal certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Florida or state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute/Critical Care CCNS or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse effects.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
