The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. The Med/Surg unit offers multiple shifts, strong nurse-to-patient ratios, and a supportive team culture in a hospital setting.

This position emphasizes comprehensive patient care across pediatric and adult populations. Candidates must hold Montana RN licensure, ADN is required with BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS/PALS must be active or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Montana RN license (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be current or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• No minimum experience required; Med/Surg or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong nursing fundamentals, IV skills, and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process from assessment to discharge.
• Care for pediatric and adult patients with broad acute medical conditions or pre/post-surgical needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate with patients and families, providing support and education.
• Provide clinical leadership on the floor and support to LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and discharge planning documentation.

We have partnered closely with a prominent regional healthcare system to secure full-time, dedicated nursing professionals for their inpatient services division. We are currently seeking compassionate Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their clinical team. This hospital-based position is ideal for an RN looking for a supportive environment that emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, robust administrative backing, and a strong culture of teamwork and compassion.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, professional patient care utilizing the complete nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult populations presenting with a broad scope of acute medical conditions or undergoing pre- and post-surgical procedures.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary professional teams, providers, the Acute Care Director, and the Charge Nurse to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families, ensuring physical, emotional, and educational support while maintaining professional nursing standards.
• Act as a clinical leader on the floor by providing appropriate directional support to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping staff, and dietary teams.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic health documentation reflecting patient status, treatment progression, and discharge coordination.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Montana (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be active or completed within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: There is no minimum experience requirement; previous experience in Medical/Surgical nursing or Pediatric nursing is preferred. New graduates or those transitioning specialties are encouraged to apply.
• Core Skills: Solid foundational knowledge of basic nursing principles and procedures, proficient IV insertion/management skills, and basic office/computer technical literacy.
