Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, GA is seeking Registered Nurses for the Medical Surgical unit. Responsibilities include direct and indirect nursing care and supervising CNAs and PCTs. Full-time and PRN positions available with 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am.

Pay ranges from $32.03 to $43.38 per hour, contingent on experience. Requires GA RN license, BLS, and arrhythmia review; ACLS preferred/required within first month. Competitive benefits included.

• Licesure/Certification: BLS and GA RN license required; arrhythmia review biannually if not ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in Medical Surgical setting.
• Direct and supervise CNA and PCT staff as needed.
• Perform bedside registration tasks and monitor patient alarms and vitals.

Registered Nurses in the Medical Surgical department at SCH are responsible for direct and indirect nursing care and the directing of other nursing care providers such as CNAs and PCTs.

Full And Part Time

12 hour shifts available

7pm - 7am

PRN - 12 hour shifts available

Registered Nurse - Pay Range: $32.03 to $43.38, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an approved diploma, associate or bachelor nursing program.

Licensure/Certification

• BLS certification to be obtained within first month of employment
• Current Georgia License as a Registered Nurse
• Arrhythmia review course biannually if not ACLS certified
• Physical and mental health sufficient to meet the demands of the job

Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions

• May need to sit for up to 2-6 hours at a time
• Physically demanding, high-stress environment
• May be up walking on feet up to 8 hours per day
• Must be able to push computer on wheels for bedside registration
• Have near normal hearing – able to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice/webinars
• Have near normal vision – clarity of vision (both near and far) either corrected on non-corrected, ability to distinguish colors
• Have good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
• Standing – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
• Walking – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
• Climbing – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
• Bending/stooping – frequently within the shift (34-66%)
• Twist at the waist – occasionally with the shift (1-33%)
• Pushing/pulling – frequently within the shift (34-66%)
• Lift/carry – 20lbs with assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
• Reaching above the shoulders – frequently within the shift (34-67%)
• Lift/carry – 50lbs with assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
