Openwork Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical to join our healthcare team. You will deliver high-quality patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and allied staff in a fast-paced MedSurg unit.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a Medical Surgical (MedSurg) unit or similar acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult and elderly patients in MedSurg.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and response to treatment.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with physician orders and established protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition, intervening as necessary.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record system.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education regarding follow-up care and medication management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following infection control standards.
• Support colleagues and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the MedSurg unit.
