Job summary

AdventHealth Apopka is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient care team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Florida RN license, and at least 1 year of inpatient experience. Schedule is Full-Time nights (6:45 pm–7:15 am), 3/12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holidays

About the Campus:

• AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 158-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab
• The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station
• The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades

Shift:

Schedule: Full-Time 3/12-hour shifts per week

Shift: Nights- 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (every other weekend) and holidays required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
