Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse to join the MICU team. The MICU is an 8-bed unit offering 12-hour night shifts and a commitment-incentive bonus of $10,000–$20,000. Applicants should hold an active NC RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS within six months, and 1–2 years IMCU/ICU experience. This hospital emphasizes teamwork, growth, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate patient assessments and identify care needs.
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care.
  • Document medical necessity timely in the medical record.
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Perform timely and accurate QoI assessments.

How You'll Contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

  • Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One to two years of IMCU or ICU experience required.
