The Medical ICU is a 28-bed adult ICU that provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care to critically ill patients. Nurse to patient ratios are based on acuity but are typically 1:2 and function within a team environment. The unit employs over 120 nurses with over 750 years of combined experience. The unit cares for patients with a variety of illnesses and diseases that involve the lungs, liver, kidneys, and other unique viruses. Many patients have long-term chronic diseases and require the specialized care of the medical critical care RN. Knowledge of ventilators, vasopressors, and intravascular monitoring is needed or will be taught to the novice ICU clinician in a team-focused, patient-centric environment.

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
New hire compensation will be determined by previous work experience, education and/or experience.
Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
