Job summary

St. Michael’s Hospital Avera in South Dakota is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care for assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process. This RN will delegate duties to shift staff and ensure care aligns with regulatory standards and the hospitals commitment to service excellence.

Qualified candidates must hold current SD RN licensure (or multi-state privilege), be CPR certified, and be a graduate of a nursing education program. 6–12 months experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have current RN licensure in the state of SD or “multi-state privilege” to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.
• Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program.
• Graduate of a registered nursing education program.
• Prefer 6-12 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Delegates duties to other staff assigned to the shift.

Position Highlights

Part-Time; 48 hours bi-weekly

The Registered Nurse in this position coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. This individual is responsible to delegate duties to the other staff assigned to the shift. In addition, it is expected that this individual provide care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies’ standards in a manner that reflects St. Michael’s standard of quality patient/resident care and commitment to Service Excellence.
