MS5 operates under a triad leadership model consisting of a Patient Care Manager, Unit Supervisor, and Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, while the charge nurse carries a reduced patient load to support clinical needs and daily operations. Nurse-to-patient ratios typically average 1 RN for every 5 patients and 1 Nursing Assistant for every 8 patients. Team members must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire, and RNs are required to complete telemetry training within 30 days of orientation and earn a Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration Certificate within one year of hire. The unit fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment with strong team engagement and active participation in professional governance, ensuring meaningful input in decision‑making at both unit and site levels. MS5 regularly hosts clinical rotations and welcomes new graduate nurses, prioritizing high reliability practices, open communication, and a culture of learning. We seek RNs eager to grow their skills and embrace opportunities for professional development.
