Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5E. This full-time night shift (7:00PM–7:30AM) offers 36 hours per week and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced nurses.
The unit cares for a wide range of adult medical patients and emphasizes clinical skill development and patient safety. The RN provides care using the nursing process, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinates with other departments to optimize outcomes.
Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Med Surg 5E provides care for a wide variety of adult medical patients.
This unit offers strong opportunities to develop and strengthen core clinical skills including patient assessment, time management, and complex care coordination. Nurses on 5E gain experience with medical patients who require frequent monitoring, thoughtful care planning, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
