Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, Nevada, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. This full-time night-shift role delivers direct patient care and supports patient/family teaching while maintaining high standards of care.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and experience in acute care settings. Ventilator management experience is preferred, with BSN preferred for career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
