$32.50 - $48.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Position Highlights
- May be eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
- Shift differential: $3 for hours between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights.
- Student Loan Repayment: up to $10,000 from the Avera 60 Program ($167 extra payment per month).

A Brief Overview
Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends to understand residents conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re‑evaluating care objectives.
What you will do
- Provide resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team; coordinating with other healthcare providers.
- Offer physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends; conferring with physicians.
- Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories; examining residents; documenting residents physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors; conferring with family and friends.
- Establish nursing diagnosis, care objectives, and define nursing interventions and schedules.
- Teach healthcare requirements, instruct residents and families on conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions; provide information and resources.
- Evaluate resident care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against care standards; reviewing records; noting changes and re‑evaluating care objectives; modifying the plan as needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy resident care environment by following infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Keep resident care equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging repairs.
- Ensure supplies are ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the facility.
- Direct, plan, and coordinate workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel.
- Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing, active license in the state of practice, upon hire.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- 1–3 years experience working in a clinical or long‑term care environment.
